Sexy Simo aka Daniel Simpson Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, I have had a vision to be a Dance Artist for over 10 years. Back in the early 90's when Dance music was just emerging. The name Sexy Simo originated from High School, where Simo is short for my surname. The name has stuck ever since. During my school years, I learned to play the piano, which has helped me write my own music also. I have always played around with new melodies to try and produce my own song. Later on, I obtained my first synthesiser, a Roland JX-305 Groove Synth which set my production on track. I had basically been producing amateur tracks until recently, where I have purchased the software to start making professionally sounding tracks.

Inspirations

Growing up, my biggest inspiration would have been Sash! I honestly think he was a genius in producing Euro style sounds and really got me into Dance music in general.

I am a huge fan of trance music, particularly Epic/Uplifting Trance. I am also very fond of the older styles of Dance and Club anthems. I am slightly disappointed in the newer styles of House and some Trance songs, but I am still focusing on producing tracks like this.

Also, within the last couple of years I have gotten myself into Hardstyle. I think it is a unique style of Dance music, and I have started performing my own tracks in Nustyle, and hopefully to produce some Hard Trance and Hard House tracks also.

Vision

It is my vision to be a Dance producer who specialises in all styles of Dance music, making my music more appealing to a broader range of the population. My first project has been the soundtrack I made to the independent movie 'Charity Hurts'. This is only the beginning. I am now currently working on my second album. Look out for more big things coming from Sexy Simo!
